Fellow told me the light bulb on one of the VU meters is burned out, but that seems to be a thing with these. I also bought a pair of 10-inch JBL control monitor speakers from the guy for $50 apiece.

Carver stuff is great, except for the one piece I bought. I bought one of their CD players way back when and it was terrible. It looked cool, though, and back then that was very important to me.
